Could this be a violation of civil liberties? Whether a policeman used a radar gun or not, The Ohio Supreme Court ruled on Wednesday that the speeding ticket issued to you is valid. In a 5-1 ruling, The Ohio Supreme Court stated that the “trained eyeballs of police officers are enough to hand out speeding tickets. A radar gun is unnecessary” (ABC News). The court elaborated that as long as the police officers are well-trained to make the decision, any ticket they issue for speeding will be justified in court.

Yesterday, Judge Nadine Allen stopped by Lincoln Ware’s show yesterday to talk about the ruling, and what’s next for Ohio citizens. Check out the audio below. For more information on the ruling, go to The Ohio Supreme Court website .
