What a scandal!

Kerry Washington has taken her social media presence to a unique new level.

The “Scandal” star, 42, tweeted a video Thursday morning in which she shared her phone number – yes, her reportedly real number – with her 5.3 million fans.

“You know how private I am, but I’m going to do something crazy. I’m going to give you my phone number,” the Bronx native laughed, admitting it “sounds insane.”

“I’ve been missing that TGIT-love,” she said, referencing ABC’s former “Thank God It’s Thursday” night lineup of Shonda Rhimes’ shows that once included “Scandal,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “How to Get Away with Murder.”

“We used to come together every Thursday night at the same time and the same place and … we would talk about stuff that really mattered to us and kind of be in a community together,” Washington said. “And I want to bring some of that back.”

She promises “links, like special sneak peeks and you guys are going to be the people I’m closest to.”

“So text me. Really, really text me,” she urged.

Now, before you get too excited about texting with Olivia Pope herself, the operation is not as easy as you think.

Texting 718-400-7118 triggers an automated message: “hey it’s Kerry!” This prompts you to sign up for Washington’s list of contacts with a one-time use link.

This triggers another automated message welcoming people to the “community” and sends you Washington’s contact information with a not-so-candid contact photo.

The catch? Data and messaging rates might apply.

Don’t bother calling or leaving a voicemail, either.

Washington “won’t hear it and I won’t respond to it.”
