Cincinnati city officials say nearly 300 police officers and firefighters could be laid off, now that a judge has blocked the city’s parking lease from taking affect.
They’re promising to appeal yesterday’s ruling, which said city council‘s passage of the parking lease, as an emergency ordinance, violated the public’s right to hold a referendum.
The lease was expected to provide an up-front 92 million-dollar payout.
