While the unemployment rate has slightly gone down for americans, black americans still face a rate 15.8 percent. Many news networks and pundits are asking themselves why hasn’t Obama been able to tackle this problem. According to congressman Emanuel Cleaver, he believes the president is in a tough bind. The chairman of the congressional black caucus believes that if the president was white, he would be pushed easier to tackle black unemployment than Obama would.
