Good afternoon gospel music fans! How are each of you today? We hope your week has begun with a praise on your lips and a song in your heart. If not there’s a reason to get excited – Jesus granted you favor and mercy this morning and actually woke you up. Now if that isn’t a reason to rejoice, I don’t know what else could be.

Now as we thank the Lord for God’s goodness, His grace and His kindness toward us, here’s yet another reason to lift up your heads and let the King of Glory come on in.

We hear gospel’s jazzy diva Kim Burrell, who’s still fresh on our minds, has shed quite a few pounds and still looks amazing after her phenomenal round of recent performances, is preparing to wow us all really soon.

How do we know? Check out this exclusive backstage interview from the recent 10th anniversary of the BET Awards in Los Angeles from last month. Missed Kim Burrell on the show? Shame on you! She brought down the house and still lifted up the name of Jesus in a spectacular vocal duet with R&B music’s maestro Alicia Keys.

In the interview link provided above, Houston’s own Kim Burrell talks in the accompanying Q&A segment about being on Sunday’s Best, using your God given talents and her new church coming to the Houston area.

This interview was conducted and provided by Nnete Inyangumia (KBXX-FM Houston). Be sure to tell us what you think of the conversation or post additional questions you might have for Kim Burrell in the comments section below. In the meantime, check out this gallery on our girl Kim Burrell to see her in action.
