Suspicions about a floating, partially-submerged houseboat on the Ohio River in Gallatin County poured into news outlets and local sheriffs this morning as many began to wonder where were the owners.

The overturned houseboat turned out to be abandoned, but Boone County Water Rescue units were notified in an attempt to find anyone who could’ve possibly been inside at one point or were still alive in the water around the 20 to 25-foot long vessel.

The investigation in the case of the submerged and abandoned houseboat continue throughout the weekend although the search for people has ended as of 5:00AM today.

Strange case, huh? You tell us what you think after reading the full reports available now at WCPO.com. What clues should the rescue units and coast guards really look for? Do you think anyone else could be involved?
