Last week, the U.S. Housing and Urban Development accused the CMHA of racial discrimination by keeping poor African-Americans out of certain neighborhoods. Not only were they accused of targeting minorites more severely, than white tenants, for breaking rules, CMHA’S search for a top executive was biased against women and African-American applicants. A lot of these accusations have been placed at the former chairman, Arnold Barnett. The current chairman, Lamont Taylor, came on the Lincoln Ware show yesterday to respond to the accusations and answer questions from the listeners. In case you missed it, you can listen below.
