The legendary Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin was recently releaed from Sina Grace Hospital this past weekend on Saturday, October 30th following a brief stay for medical reasons still unknown. However, the admission to the hospital for the Grammy Award-winning songstress came at the recommendation of her doctors.
Franklin is reportedly resting and comfortably at home, but is anxious to get back on the road to perform for her countless fans around the world. Unfortunately, she won’t get that opportunity so soon because, according to her publicist, all concert dates and personal appearances scheduled for the remainder of 2010 and the beginning of next year have been officially canceled until further notice.
In a statement released just moments ago this afternoon, Ms. Franklin added the following:
“I would like to thank my friends, fans and supporters for all the beautiful flowers and their many well wishes.”
We’ll do our best to keep you all informed and in the loop of her health condition as soon as updates become available. In the meantime, let’s all continue to pray for the Queen of Soul – Ms. Aretha Franklin.
