Cincinnati Police Chief Tom Streicher has issued an official public apology for the treatment of Bengals’ cornerback Adam Jones during a recent incident resulting in his arrest.

Sunday’s game turned into a media frenzy afterward as Chief Streicher mistakenly handcuffed Jones. Chief Streicher said at a news conference on Monday that the police department made a mistake and that Jones did absolutely nothing wrong. So what actually happened?

Adam Jones was driving downtown and had to swerve to avoid a collision with another car. He was handcuffed and later released without a citation or charges.
