Doctors in Detroit have performed what may be the first ever double lung transplant. It was performed on a patient whose lungs were damaged from vaping. There have been a rash of vaping related lung hospitalizations recently. Some states are even considering legislation to ban the practice.
Henry Ford Health systems didn’t release very much information about the patient but the patient wanted his story told to share the dangers of vaping. At least 40 people have died vaping related illness.
