SANDUSKY, OH (WOIO) –
If you’re the type who can’t go a minute without your phone, you’ll want to avoid “Steel Vengeance” at Cedar Point.
The park has banned phones on the ride.
Who doesn’t love a good ride on a roller coaster? In the age of selfies, if you don’t have a picture, it didn’t happen.
“I like taking pictures, video while I’m on the ride,” said 12 year-old Taylor Foust.
“It’s to pass the time. There are times you could be standing in line for a two to three hours wait,” said Kelsey Parsons.
Now Cedar Point says you had better leave that cell phone elsewhere if you want to jump on “Steel Vengeance.”
Parson read about the policy on a friend’s Facebook page.
“They said there was a sign they could not have their cell phone, even in line,” Parson said.
If you want to document your ride, you’ll have to pay for a souvenir photo.
Cedar Point officials would not go on-camera, but said the policy is because cell phones are the most lost item on the ride.
