Who didn’t see this coming?
‘The View’s conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is leaving the ABC show for a change of scenery over at ‘Fox & Friends.’
Hasselbeck replaces Gretchen Carlson to deliver snark and hipster conservative views along-side Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade in mid-September.

“I have been a long-time fan of Fox & Friends and am excited to be joining their team in September,” Hasselbeck said in a statement.
Barbara Walters wished her young co-host well: ”We have had ten wonderful years with Elisabeth and she will now be swimming in new waters. We will miss her and wish her everything good.”
Back in March of this year, after Joy Behar announced that she was leaving the show after 16 years, Walters denied that Hasselbeck would soon be making her exit:
“There are no plans for Elisabeth to leave this show,” Walters said. “The truth is we like her … and beyond that, we value and appreciate her point of view.”
What a difference a few months can make.
