The Cincinnati Public Schools district is setting up a major expansion of its school-based health centers.

They’ll double the number of facilities to twenty, over the next two years. The reason they’re doing this is so that they can provide more vaccinations, check-ups, and more dental care for students.

The school-based health centers were created in 1999, to care for low-income students. Officals believe good health, among students, helps them achieve higher test scores and they miss fewer days.
