You’ve probably seen or heard of the recent Time’s magazine cover of a 3 year-old sucking on a woman’s breast for her milk.
It is a concept, known as extended breastfeeding, that has created a hot debate on the Internet. Jacque Reid invited a black mother, who supports extended breastfeeding, to call in to the TJMS. Rebecca Jackson, too, breastfed her son until he was three years old. She is against the Time Magazine cover because it will drive black mothers away from extended breastfeeding.
