Cincinnati City council voted not to go after a federal funded grant that would have helped sick families in Avondale.
The federal money would have helped financed a health clinic in Avondale.
Cincinnati City Council voted 5 to 4 not in favor of applying for the grant. Although there was no guarantee the city would have received this grant, a yes vote would have put Cincinnati in the running against other cities to receive federal funding for at least three years.
