This past weekend, in Columbus, the Reverend Al Sharpton had some tough words to say to the members of the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus. At the OLBC dinner, he condemned the members for “getting too comfortable” and “too low down to stand up for themselves.” He also told the caucus,
You forgot how you got here, and that’s how they will take you out of here.
Sharpton was mostly referring to the some of the laws that have been passed this year such as S.B. 5 and H.R. 194. He felt that the caucus did not voice their opposition strong enough. The reverend also encouraged the audience to vote no on issue 2, the collective-bargaining law. He feels that this issue will be a referendum on not only the GOP state-wide, but nation-wide.
