Final preparations are underway in the Tri-State for New Years Eve.
Several public events are scheduled tonight, including the annual New Years Eve blast on Fountain Square.
At Oakley Square, there will be a ball-dropping celebration. You can watch a glowing ball drop down the tower during the countdown to the New Year at the 20th Century Theatre. The event is free to the public.
Kid-friendly events, with early ball-drops, are being held this afternoon at the Cincinnati Zoo and the Newport Aquarium.
