Imagine if you were from out of town, you check in to your hotel room, and you are welcomed with racial slurs?

That’s what happened to Joseph Ross this weekend, when he was attending the Macy’s Music Festival this weekend.

Ross, who is from Dayton, checked in to the Sharonville Motel 6 for the music festival weekend. When he walked in to his hotel room, he turned on the TV and was watching the hotel’s internal broadcast. When he looked at it, the screen read “Hello Ni**ers”.

Ross contacted Motel 6’s corporate headquarters, and they said they would respond to his complaint in thirty days. He then contacted his local NAACP chapter, and they contacted the employees at the Sharonville Motel 6. The person answered the phone did confirm that the message was on the internal broadcast, but couldn’t give an explanation why.
