Susan Candiotti is not a rookie reporter. So it‘s hard to believe that she didn’t know exactly what she was doing when she dropped a two-word verbal bomb in the middle of her Sunday report on the slayings in the Tulsa area.
Now, to her credit, she did warn people that she would be using “sensitive” language. We, too, will warn you that the video below contains offensive language.

After Candiotti finished her report, CNN anchor Fredricka Whitfield said, “We apologize to our viewers for such profanity being used on our air.”
Candiotti later apologized for not censoring herself.
“In quoting someone else’s words, I repeated their offensive and inappropriate language. I deeply regret it,” she said, according to Mediabistro.com
On Saturday night’s CNN Newsroom, the panel discussed the immortal topic of why some words are ok for some people to say and not others and anchor Don Lemon made the claim that he dislikes it when reporters, faced with quoting a racist, say “n-word.”
”I don’t care what color the reporter is, I think someone should say ‘that person called him a n****r,’ rather than ‘the n-word,’ because it sanitizes it.”
