17 year-old Trayvon Martin, from Florida, was walking home a month ago. While he was eating some snacks, as he walked home in his gated-community, a 28 year-old confronts him. After he confronts Trayvon, he kills him. When the police showed up, he claimed to have shot Trayvon in “self-defense”.
So they handcuffed the shooter, took him to the police department, and then let him go. He is currently walking the streets as a free man. The Sanford Police Department explained that no evidence was found that proved the assailant killed Trayvon “in cold blood”.
This morning Ben Crump, the attorney for the family of Trayvon Martin, called in to the TJMS to speak about the case with Roland Martin. In case you missed the interview, you can listen below.
