Gospel music fans, it’s official!

Newly announced Light Records signee Ricky Dillard & New G are definitely set for their next live recording session. The upcoming session is scheduled to take place on October 30, 2010 at Second Ebenezer Church in Detroit, MI. No word yet on an expected release date.

As you might already know, this endeavor marks the eighth full length album for the aggregation who recently signed with Light Records. Ricky Dillard is among those top chori masters left in the game who keeps real chorale music alive.

With funky praise numbers to Sunday morning jams, Ricky Dillard has given us hit after hit after hit over the years. His Chicago vocal ensemble is still one of the leading groups of singers in the country and we’re excited to see him bringing it back to what we know best and love them for the most – great gospel music with a signature sound of their own.

If you’ve never seen Ricky Dillard & New G do their thing for Jesus, check out this exclusive video from their most recent CD/DVD Ricky Dillard – The 7th Episode: Live in Toronto featuring them all lifting up the name of Jesus in true New G fashion live in concert.
