The legendary Paul Mooney is on the road again and our friends in Atlanta have invited him to town for a two-night stint at Uptown Comedy Corner. He recently stopped by Majic 107.5 / 97.5 to speak with on-air personality Myronda about a variety of humorous topics.
Paul was Richard Pryor’s main writer and he also invented classic characters like Homie the Clown from “In Living Color” and Negrodamus from “Chappelle’s Show.”
Calling Pryor his “best friend,” Paul also talked about the state of comedy today compared to the past and complained that “everybody wants to be funny” now. He added that since everyone wants to be a comedian now he’s going to branch out into acting and politics.
