Congratulations to Cincinnati assistant police chief, Michael Cureton, who was announced as the new University Of Cincinnati Police Chief and director of public safety.

Cureton was one of the four finalists for the job. The other three included Cincinnati Assistant Police chief Vince Demassi, Covington Police Chief Lee Russo, and UC Assistant Police Chief Jeff Corcoran.

Cureton has served on the Cincinnati police force for than thirty years. He is currently a student at UC, and will graduate next year with a masters degree in criminal justice.

Starting next month, Michael Cureton will replace Gene Ferrara, who retired this month.
