Faisal Shahzad, the man accused of attempting to set off a bomb recently in New York’s famous Times Square, is scheduled to appear in federal court as of this morning for a preliminary hearing. New reports claim Shahzad also contemplated attacks on Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Terminal and the World Financial Center in New York City. Officials also state he pondered attacking Connecticut helicopter manufacturers Sikorsky.

The 30-year-old Pakistani American now faces five counts in connection with the failed bomb attempt in the middle of Times Square on May 1st. If convicted, Shahzad could be sentenced to life in prison. For the latest coverage on the story, visit CNN.com.
