We’re all familiar with gospel’s wild child Tye Tribbett and his larger-than-life energy as he leaps and bounds across gospel stages and church pulpits nationwide. If you’re even more familiar with the members of “Soundcheck,” Tribbett’s live, touring and house band, then you know that the singers comprised of G.A. (Greater Anointing) and musicians are just as much of a live spectacle as the group’s leader.

This weekend, we caught wind of the news that guitarist, worship leader and G.A. alumnus Darrell Miller is preparing for his own live musical project, a solo debut currently entitled One Worship. Miller will hit the sound stage on June 1st not far from where his former group got their start on the east coast.

Set to be recorded live in Philadelphia, Miller’s One Worship is said to feature guest appearances from several of the energetic ensemble’s vocalists. In the meantime, Miller plans to continue touring with Tye Tribbett and will stop long enough to record the new project before hitting the road again this summer as promotion for the album.

Now tell us, Cincinnati, are you excited about this new frontier of gospel? Post your comments below and let us know what you think so far.

If you know anything about the band, all of these brothers and sisters are super talented and gifted beyond measure. I’m not sure how great of a songwriter Miller is himself, but I think if Tye has anything to do with it, there will be great music coming from Miller’s new project. Let’s keep our fingers crossed as we await more information on the upcoming live session and Darrell Miller’s debut.
