It’s been  thirteen years since I lost my mother and no matter how many days turn into years I still miss her hard. If I’ve learned one thing about the people who have passed through my life,  it’s that you should love them as hard while they’re here.  My mother, sister, and aunt have made their transition but I think about them every day. When I’m lucky, they show up in my dreams and I can see them and hear them. I wake with such joy,  although it doesn’t happen enough. The thing is- no matter how old you get there are days when only your mother’s touch, her shoulder,  her words of wisdom can soothe your pain or make you smile.

“God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers.”

This mother’s day I celebrate my two sisters and every woman who has made a difference in someone’s life. Please share your stories about the woman who has made a difference in your life.
