New York’s famed Carnegie Hall has long been known for variety of classical concerts and popular music performances. The Midtown Manhattan venue is also renowned for its beauty, history and even the amazing acoustics.

Tomorrow, however, Carnegie Hall will be transformed into a all-star worship experience as the venue welcomes and hosts “A Night of Inspiration.”

The evening of gospel and Christian music will feature an uplifting concert of inspirational music and spoken word featuring performances from the “First Lady of Gospel” Pastor Shirley Caesar, brother/sister contemporary gospel duo BeBe & CeCe Winans, and singer/songwriter Michael McDonald.

The concert will also feature guest appearances by artists such as Fred Hammond, Kurt Carr & The Kurt Carr Singers and classically trained pianist/composer Richard Smallwood. Brooklyn’s finest Hezekiah Walker will stop by with his choral ensemble as well.

Guests and attendees will experience the wonder of legendary drummer and percussionist Sheila E. accompanied by inspirational singer/songwriter Patty Griffin as well as special presentations from television, film and Broadway actress Phylicia Rashad and Pauletta Pearson Washington (wife of Denzel Washington).

Ray Chew serves as the evening’s musical director, with Pastor A.R. Bernard (of presenting sponsor Christian Cultural Center also located in New York) and CNN news anchor Soledad O’Brien also scheduled to serve as co-hosts.
