Quite a few gospel artists have made the transition to mainstream television programming, but this week, two of our favorite gospel voices are gearing up to give the world a peak at the hottest new music. Get ready as gospel music takes its place at center stage on a few ABC daytime television shows on Thursday, April 22.

Verity Gospel Music Group artist Marvin Sapp is scheduled to make a special appearance on “Good Morning America” at 7:00AM. Sapp will be performing his latest chart-topping hit “The Best In Me.”

But the morning praise won’t stop there. If you’re home or available to tune in online just before lunchtime at 11:00AM, don’t forget to check out Marvin Sapp’s Verity label mate Fred Hammond who will join the ladies of “The View” where he’ll perform his smash hit “They That Wait.”

In case you didn’t know, both songs are currently in the top 5 songs on Billboard’s Top Gospel Songs charts. Both artists have churned out the hits with their most recent musical offerings so the performances and accompanying interviews should be great for television.

The interview with Fred Hammond on The View should really be a good one. I’m sure co-host Sherri Shepherd, one of the show’s biggest gospel supporters, will love having Fred hit the stage. If you recall, her birthday wish last year was having The Clark Sisters perform their hit “You Brought the Sunshine” live for the first time ever on the show.

Tell us, will you tune in and catch Marvin Sapp and Fred Hammond tomorrow? What other gospel greats would you like to see make an appearance on daytime television programming you enjoy? Are there any questions you’d like the show hosts to ask Marvin Sapp and Fred Hammond? If so, post them below.
