We’ve made it together through Tax Day, but just 24-hours later, Mayor Mark Mallory is calling on everyone in the Greater Cincinnati region to quickly fill out their Census questionnaire and send it in immediately if you haven’t already done so. Today, Friday, April 16, is the last day that residents can send in their Census questionnaire.

“I’ve been talking about this for fuor years. The time is now. If you haven’t sent in your Census, do it right now,” Mayor Mallory said. “This is the simplest thing that you can do to bring millions of additional dollars to our community.”

Cincinnati’s Census response rate is 64%; Ohio’s is 72%, and the National rate is 67%. Households should have received their questionnaires starting March 15, and if a household did not receive a questionnaire or lost it, they should call 1-877-872-6868 immediately.

For the purpose of the Census, citizens are asked to report where they were living on April 1 on their simple, 10-question Census questionnaire. Residents can find more than 220 Central Ohio Census Assistance Centers by entering their zip code at 2010.census.gov.
