In the past year, the state of Arizona has become a hotbed of racism with the law enacted for immigrants to be stopped by law enforcement if suspected of being in the country illegally.

The reputation doesn’t get any better for the state John McCain calls home.

In 1992, Arizona became the last state to accept Martin Luther King Day as a holiday. And now we have a shooting of a Democratic Congresswomen in which the shooter had ties to white supremacist groups.

So judging as the Pima County Sheriff said that Arizona is the “mecca of prejudice and bigotry,” have any of you been to the state and what have your experiences been?

Below are some demographics on the state of Arizona. Feel free to leave your comments.

Racial facts of Arizona:

Arizona is currently 5 percent Black and close to 30 percent of the population is Hispanic, while a belief lies that even more reside due to illegal immigration. The white population is nearly 60 percent.
