Concertgoers in Cincinnati will need to rethink their packing strategy as Music & Event Management, Inc. (MEMI) implements a new clear bag policy across several major music venues.

Beginning with the 2025 season, venues owned and operated by MEMI will enforce stricter bag entry regulations. This includes Riverbend Music Center, PNC Pavilion, the Andrew J. Brady Music Center, Taft Theatre, and the Rose Music Center in Huber Heights, OH. The move aligns with policies adopted by larger venues nationwide to enhance security and streamline entry.
Approved Bags:
- Clear bags no larger than 12” x 12” x 6” (no patterns obstructing visibility).
- Small clutch bags up to 6” x 9” (do not need to be clear).
- Soft-sided, collapsible coolers within the 12” x 12” x 6” limit, containing only permitted food, beverages, or loose ice.
Exceptions:
- Medically necessary bags and diaper bags (subject to search).
- Sealed non-alcoholic plastic bottles (up to four 33.8 fl. oz. per person).
Prohibited Items:
- Non-clear bags larger than 6” x 9”, including backpacks and drawstring bags.
- Bags with printed patterns, tinted, or mesh material.
The policy goes into effect April 1st at Taft Theatre and the Andrew J. Brady Music Center, while outdoor venues will adopt the rule at the start of the spring/summer concert season.
