This weekend was a sour ending to the hype for the hopeful Cincinnati Reds (and the city) after few weeks of long-awaited excitement for the team. After three games and three disappointing new scores to add to their charts, the Reds are back to being hopeful at this point.

On Sunday, I guess you could say the game was full of hit or miss mentalities coming from the players. It looked like the Reds tried to dodge their daunting past defeats in an effort to keep the energy of the present going, but this good thing came to an end quite quickly. Was it because the players are too young to really take it all in and focus on the game? How has the celebrity of it all impacted the players at this point?

By now everyone know the Reds hadn’t been in the playoffs since 1995. It was 15 years ago when they reached the NL championship series only to get swept by Atlanta because they couldn’t handle the Braves’ sensational rotation. What do you think was different back then versus nowadays for our home team?

Share your thoughts on the situation, on the recent game and the Reds current status in your heart by posting on the message board below.

Cincinnati still supports and of course we want to celebrate our home team with a look back at the recent city-wide pep rally and official after party held to keep the momentum going.
