CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) – A Cleveland Police Officer has been suspended after being charged by North Olmsted Police with a misdemeanor and a felony.
Patrol Officer Tashalee Norris, 34, was relieved from duty and suspended without pay “pending the adjudication of the criminal charges.”
Police told 19 News that security caught Norris scanning some, but not all, of her items at the self check-out register at the Walmart Supercenter on Brookpark Road on Feb. 27.
Police also told 19 News that Norris was caught scanning some, but not all, of her items at the same Walmart location on St. Patrick’s Day.
However, that incident was listed as a felony because Norris was wearing a Cleveland Police Department sweatshirt over her Cleveland Police uniform with her police firearm, according to police.
