Over at the Limelight, it was all about go-go. The Chuck Brown tribute band formed to pay homage to the late great Godfather of Go-Go, Chuck Brown. DJ Kool and Suga Bear of E.U. had the crowd rocking with a medley of rhythm heavy go-go staples as well as some funked-up hip-hop hits.

The 70’s parade featured Tom Joyner in his best 70’s gear as the late Don Cornelius of Soul Train fame. He was almost upstaged by Lt. Uhuru of Star Trek, the bill from Schoolhouse Rock and Guy Torry as Flip Wilson and Geraldine.

Yes, we said Flip Wilson AND Geraldine. And of course, they were followed by the creative group who dressed up as members of the Black Panther party, even giving out copies of the Panther’s 10s-point program.

The 2 a.m. featured Heat Wave, A Taste Of Honey, and the Brothers Johnson and if you know anything about those old school acts – they came to play and play they did, well into the wee hours. So if you made it that late, you’re a trouper. Now, onto the next day and the final Theme Night – as the Fantastic Voyage is almost over. *Sobs*
