As a kid, glancing out the window to see a winter wonderland was one of the greatest sights in the world. Seriously, what could be better than an extra day off?!

Unfortunately as you grow up, snow becomes a lot less magical. In college, snow days are few and far between and in the real world? Well, you can pretty much just forget about that. You’re forced to worry about things that your parents once took care of – shoveling out cars, stocking up on the essentials and of course, how the hell you’re going to get to and from work in the middle of a blizzard.

As an adult, snow means pretty much the opposite…

…you’ve got to get up a little earlier…

…try to balance business casual with bundled…

…and pray your commute isn’t too screwed up, which it will be.

Prepping for winter weather as a kid is easy…

…you check to make sure your mom stocked up on all your favorite snacks…

…and check the TV guide so you can plan accordingly.

Prepping for adults?

…Just hit up the liquor store or bodega. You’re going to need a stiff drink after the day you’re about to have.

Even if you’re one of the lucky few who don’t have to physically go in to work, you’re most likely working from home. Trust me, it’s not as awesome as it sounds…

As a kid you could spend your day off catching up on homework…

…but then you’d never know if he was the father or not.

Grown folks spend their snow days staring out the window from their cubicles wishing they were looking at this…

…instead of this…

So enjoy it while you can, kiddos! Because snow days aren’t a thing after high school…
