The 911 caller reported the man was crying and yelling as he tried to fight off the fatal attack. Police had to fatally shoot the dog to stop the attack and the victim later died from his injuries at the hospital.

As Summer approaches many people are concerned about this breed of dog and the lack of control most owners seem to have.

Cecil Thomas had this to say in 2012 “A child was attacked in Avondale on Ridgeway. The child’s leg was just cut up in shreds and had bites on the face, ” said Thomas. “They are some extremely irresponsible owners out there and those dogs are trained to fight and they will attack first chance they’re given.”
