Adrien Broner continues to face trouble with the law due to a recent arrest. Luckily, he’s still here, considering a reported near fatal experience.

The boxer was stopped by Covington police in Kentucky early Thursday morning. He had a warrant for his arrest because he failed to appear in court for a disorderly conduct and alcohol intoxication arrest back in 2014.

When Broner was stopped by Covington officers they noticed bullet holes in his white Chevy Suburban. Broner explained that he had been shot at by an unknown suspect after leaving the G-Money Bar bar in Cincinnati. Broner was reportedly followed after leaving the venue and once the suspect caught up with him, they fired rounds, hitting his car eight times. Broner was not hurt and it’s unclear why he was attacked. Cops found evidence of the shooting in the form of ten 9mm shell casings at the alleged crime scene.

Broner’s vehicle is currently under possession by the Cincinnati PD for further investigation. The one-time four-division champion was released from the Kenton County Detention Center at 5:10 a.m. after posting $503 bond, according to jail records. He is set to appear in court on April 27. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available on Broner’s alleged attacker.
