He talks the journey of being an artist and his personal goal of making music that “treated people with respect and had a lot of class.” He also talks about working with Bishop T.D. Jakes on their song, “Closer.”

His also opens up about the international reception of his music, and how he’s been using his platform to address police brutality and other social justice issues. He discusses his song “The Anthem,” in which he addresses the violence that has not only plagued the black community in terms of interactions with the police, but also the gun violence that happens within the community.
