The audience for faith-friendly comedy continues to grow thanks to Christian comedians fighting hard to keep it alive

In a day and age where sexually explicit, profanity-laced comedy rules the day, a well-known Christian comedian is offering an alternative for the faith community.

Actor, reality TV star and singer, David Mann, has teamed with a group of standup acts for the “Rebirth of Comedy Tour,” to provide fun for everyone.

“What we’re doing is bringing good, clean, wholesome fun of the family kind,” Mann, husband of Stellar Award-winning gospel singer, Tamela Mann, toldSavannahNow.com. “This is one of those comedy tours that can bring the whole family out.”

The 49-year-old known for playing the hilarious and lovable Mr. Brown in Tyler Perry’s productions, is joined by comedians Akintunde, Mark Gregory and Christian rapper Big Red, for non-offensive entertainment—something he calls uncommon nowadays.

“It’s rare to get a comedy tour that you can bring everyone from grandbabies to grand-mommas to,” Mann said. “I remember in the day when we had comics who were funny to kids and their parents.”
