Donald Trump Throws A Grand Old Party:

No one ever really doubted that Donald Trump could pull off a major counter-programing feat — even when competing with a GOP debate that was expected to draw millions of viewers.

He did it Thursday night, dazzling a crowd of hundreds of enthusiastic supporters by announcing that he had raised more than $6 million for veterans in one day — $1 million of it from his own checkbook. “We love our vets,” he said.

“You know, my whole theme is make America great again and that’s what we’re going to do — and we wouldn’t have even been here if it weren’t for our vets,” Trump said.

Sanders Tries To Bolster Position Against Gun Law He Previously Supported:

Bernie Sanders will co-sponsor a bill to repeal legal protections for the firearm industry that he’d supported a decade ago, taking another step to undo the political damage of that vote and smooth over his relationship with gun control advocates.

Tad Devine, Sanders’ top strategist, confirms that Sanders has agreed to be a co-sponsor of the repeal bill.

According to a release from the Brady Campaign, Sanders will co-sponsor the repeal of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, which protects gun manufacturers in lawsuits involving shootings. Sanders had voted in favor of the protections while in the Senate and has up to this point resisted reversing course on the issue.

Budweiser Clydesdales Welcome A New Baby:

The Budweiser family just got a little bigger.

The iconic Budweiser Clydesdales, the draft horses that are featured in Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company’s marketing campaigns, have welcomed a new foal.

Mac, the little horse that’s drawing attention from social media fans, was born Tuesday in Warm Springs Ranch in Boonville, Missouri. He’s the first foal of 2016 to join Anheuser-Busch’s herd of more than 160 horses.
