Winter Storm: This Weekend’s Snow In D.C. Could Be One ‘For The Record Books’:

A nasty snowstorm is expected to bury the Washington, D.C., area beginning Friday, and possibly surpass totals for a benchmark 1922 storm.

The National Weather Service on Wednesday said it expected between 12″ and 24″ of snow to fall in the District of Columbia, Baltimore and surrounding counties by late Saturday. Those totals could be adjusted up or down depending on the exact track of the storm, which is targeting the mid-Atlantic region.

CNN meteorologist Tom Sater says a computer model shows the capital will be the bull’s-eye for up to 30″ of snow by Sunday..

Michigan Governor’s Emails Shine Light On Flint Water Crisis:

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder’s then-chief of staff wrote an email in September that expressed concern the water crisis in Flint was being politicized, and argued the issue was not primarily the state’s problem.

His email was made public Wednesday as part of the governor’s release of his own emails regarding Flint from 2014 and 2015.

Snyder, a Republican, has become a lightning rod for criticism because the crisis unfolded under the state’s watch.

“The DEQ (Department of Environmental Quality) and DCH (Department of Community Health) feel that some in Flint are taking the very sensitive issue of children’s exposure to lead and trying to turn it into a political football claiming the departments are underestimating the impacts on the populations and particularly trying to shift responsibility to the state,” wrote Dennis Muchmore, Snyder’s former chief of staff.

Fox Commentator: Oscar Flap ‘Ludicrous’ And Get Rid Of Black History Month:

Fox News commentator Stacey Dash dismissed the outrage over the lack of African-American Oscar nominees as “ludicrous.”

Dash, an African-American actress and contributor to the network, also said on Wednesday’s “Fox & Friends” that to obtain integration there should be no Black History Month, award shows that honor African-Americans, or BET, a channel that focuses on African-American entertainment.
