After reports late Thursday claimed Lamar Odom was showing signs of improvement, his current condition has officials less than confident about the player’s health.
According to the Huffington Post, several reports claimed Odom showed positive signs of improvement after allegedly squeezing the hand of estranged wife Khloe Kardashian. Doctors later reported that his actions might have been an “involuntary movement.” Odom’s condition is reportedly deteriorating, with four of his organs failing.
Mark Medina, a beat writer for the LA Daily News says the player’s improvements are small.
ESPN reporter Ramona Shelburne echoed the same statements on Twitter.
The former athlete was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel on Tuesday after taking 10 viagra-like herbal supplements. Brothel owner Dennis Hof says Odom didn’t take drugs at the establishment, but was told he did use cocaine before he arrived on Saturday. Since he’s been in the hospital, Kardashian has been by his side, as well as Kobe Bryant, Odom’s father and Metta World Peace’s brother Daniel Artest.
Bryant tweeted a message to Odom’s critics this week over false reports on his former teammate’s condition.
