Our condolences to Kelsey Crow’s family.
Yes, another young person, 17- year old Kelsey Crow, was fatally shot after attending an invitation only sweet 16 party and two other young people were injured after a shooting over the weekend. A prayer service, was held yesterday at Metropolitan CME Church on Melrose Avenue in Walnut Hills.
Looking beyond the anger over this senseless act of violence and cowardice, there are many questions.
Who are these people who have access to guns? Why do these young people think they can kill people and walk away and where are the parents of these gunslingers. More importantly, how do we change the culture in our communities.
We can’t run away from it anymore. We have to look our community square in the face and say it is no longer tolerable.
