Xavier freshman Trevon Bluiett made both of his free throws to help Xavier edge UC, 59-57, in the Crosstown Shootout.
Senior Dee Davis led XU with 16 points, and a clutch 3-pointer in the second half to give the Musketeers the victory. Gary Clark of UC led his team with 14 points.
Last night was the first Crosstown Shootout played at either school’s campus in two seasons.
