Janaya Trotter- Attorney
I am a candidate for the elected office of Hamilton County Prosecutor. I am the owner and managing partner of Trotter Law, LLC, where I provide various legal services and handle a wide range of civil and criminal matters. I earned my Juris Doctor from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law and my Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University. Raised in Forest Park, I graduated from Winton Woods High School.
Before opening my law practice, I began my legal career as an assistant prosecuting attorney with the City of Cincinnati Prosecutor’s Office. As part of my duties, I also served as one of the environmental attorneys for the City. Prior to becoming a small business owner, I also worked as an associate attorney for a law firm, where I practiced both civil and criminal litigation. I honed my legal skills serving as lead counsel litigating juvenile court, misdemeanor and felony criminal cases, and litigating civil matters in both state and federal court. I have always been an active participant in the community, volunteering as a member of the Cincinnati Zoo Young Ambassador Council and as Parliamentarian for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, Cincinnati Alumnae Chapter. Amongst other various posts, I have most notably been a member of the Dress for Success of Cincinnati Board of Directors, a member of the Cincinnati Zoo Planned Giving Committee, and Vice-President of the Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati.
Taren Kinnebrew : Sweet Petite Desserts, Owner
Let me share with you a little bit about my dessert establishment and myself.
Desserts are best enjoyed as a reflection of culture. So our desserts are embellished with tastes that are made from scratch with the finest ingredients. You will enjoy desserts that will wake up your senses reminding you of mom and grandma’s baking, as well as desserts I’ve tasted all around the world. By creating simple flavors and unique artistry, I encourage my customers to lose themselves completely in the sweet sensuality of it all. What has inspired me is the joy and happiness that people feel when they can enjoy the taste of any dessert that pleases the palette. I enjoy making people feel good about eating our sweet treats. They are bite size treats bursting with flavor. Although you may not eat just one they are prepared to fill that craving without over indulging. I grew up in the kitchen loving to bake with my grandma, which has become my passion. So I am passing along my passion to my beautiful daughter and lovely husband and intend to share it with others who love to bake. Sweet Petit Desserts began in 2009 and has a new location at 1426 Race Street located in OTR.
We provide sweet treats for individual customers and all kinds of social events. Christina Christian of Something Chic Party and Event is available in store daily to help with customizable dessert bars and special gifts for any occasion. So please stop in and allow us to take care of your needs.
