A Cincinnati city councilman is proposing harsher penalties for dog owners that don’t control their dogs.
Chris Seelbach is proposing that if an owner’s dog hurts or severely injures a human or another animal, the owner could spend six months in jail. If passed, the law would replace the current dog rule in the city.
This comes in response to several Pitbull attacks happening around the city. One of them was Zainabou Drame, who was in a medically-induced coma after being attacked by two pit bulls.
