Cincinnati officials are bidding for a national sporting event.
Cincinnati USA, the Flying Pig Marathon, and Greater Cincinnati Sports Corporation said they want to host the 2016 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials.
Supporters of the bid cite the city’s support of big events with corporate sponsorship, and a strong base of volunteers.
