Fewer Cincinnati police officers and firefighters would lose their jobs under an updated city budget proposal.
Mayor Mark Mallory’s changes to the spending plan would put nearly three dozen safety force employees back on the job.
The mayor is pulling funding from outside agencies to avoid the layoffs.
