Famous Local Attorney Disbarred in Kentucky, Ohio next?
The legal career of Stan Chesley appears to be over.
The Kentucky Supreme Court voted yesterday to disbar Chesley for allowing lawyers negotiating the $200 million Phen-Phen settlement. The lawyers ended up collecting more than half of the award in fees for themselves.
Chesley is also facing disbarment in Ohio.
