The former mayor of Detroit, Michigan has been found guilty of 34 counts of corruption charges, and was sent to jail to await his prison sentence.
The crimes, that Kwame Kilpatrick has been found guilty of, include racketeering conspiracy which carries a maximum punishment of 20 years behind bars.
Prosecutors say Kirkpatrick ran a private profit machine out of Detroit’s city hall.
